eLearning is Golden Gate University’s online learning platform. Golden Gate University has been offering online courses since the late 1990s. Students and instructors access eLearning by clicking on the eLearning tile on their MyGGU Dashboard.
Each online class is different. Some classes have mostly text-based resources while some classes will have a lot of video or other media resources. In the “Administration” block of your online course, click on “My profile settings” and “Edit profile.” Scroll down to “User picture” and click on that. Your email will need to be changed in 2 places within your GGU4YOU Profile. For instructions with screenshots please see “Student Orientation, Tips and Tutorials” on the left side of your eLearning home page, and then select “Changing your Email Address.”
Make sure that the email you have on file in eLearning is current. Check to make sure your class email isn’t being blocked or diverted to a different folder (for instance the “Promotions” tab/folder in Gmail).

No, students cannot access the course before the first day of the term, however, while you wait for the first day you’re encouraged to take the Student Orientation that you’ll find on the left side of the eLearning site.
